Our drift boats allow us to float fish where shore based fishermen can only dream of.

We have local council permits and Department of Conservation concessions to drift down kilometers of some of the most pristine and trout rich rivers found in the South Island of New Zealand.

Driftfishing on the gin clear waters of this beautiful part of the South Island has to be seen to be believed. On our float trips we can easily sight trout , pull up into an eddy and reel in a New Zealand brown or rainbow trout.

We can fly fish from the raft as we drift as well as stopping frequently and wading from the shore. This gives us the best of both worlds.

The rafts are fitted with comfortable seats and rowing frames. This allows us to not only fish as we drift but also lets us cover up to 16km (10miles) of wild New Zealand trout filled river per day. This is a lot easier on the legs than boulder hopping and bush bashing to fish a couple of pools!!

Drift fishing for fly fishermen is our specialty but we also have great success with spin fishing around the Lake Wanaka and Lake Hawea areas. Drifting through this part of the South Island’s majestic wilderness is an essential experience for non fishing partners too.
